Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by mobydick, Dec 27, 2004.

  1. I want to head out on the ice on portage lakes tomorrow. Preferably turkeyfoot, but i don't know if the ice is safe yet... I went up their at sun down earlier today and only saw one light on the ice.. Does anyone know about the ice thickness...?

Ice is 5-6in in OSP, not sure about the thickness as you head toward the main lake more. did hear a report of a 9lb bass coming from the ice.....

  3. 9lb, where that one come from?? Where is OSP... I tried hitting the ice around 6:00 pm and when I stopped to get bait, nobody would tell me where to fish... I just moved back here from Virginia a couple months ago and haven't ice fished in 3 years.... any tips or hot spots, let me know.... I live in the canton area... thanks
