Thinking about hitting Conneaut or Arcola creek soon and wanted to start a thread so anyone seeing ice could warn those of us who have to drive an hour to check out the rivers & creeks. Thanks in advance
  2. It has to get a lot colder for a longer period of time before the rivers lock up. You have to remember lakes freeze a long time before the rivers do. Its harder to freeze running water. You can always find open water, just be willing to drive. When everything else is locked up, try the grand river; it takes a lot for it to freeze solid.
