Flew to Milwaukee this morning and it was COLD! 18 degrees at 8 AM. I saw ice on some lakes but not all of them on my way South. Coming through the North side of Chicago there was a lake that was completely ice covered. I did not see anyone ice fishing anywhere up there although I didn't get any farther North than Milwaukee. A co-worker lives near Waupaca and they have snow there. It'll be here SOON!
  2. I saw a couple of ponds this morning with just a bit of skim ice showing. The temperature was 22° so a couple weeks like that should get at least the ponds going.

  3. with Skybus, I'm thinking about making a weekend trip up there to do some ice fishing...Not a whole lot of people wanting to go north in Jan/Feb. so the tickets are still cheap.
