50 then 30 then 50 then 30 degrees week after week. Hurry up spring. My patience is wearing thin.
At worse it would spread out the run which has only been a sprinkle if that to date...
Air temp has minimal affect on the run much less then water height and water temp does...
plus it hasn't really been consistantly warm enough to trigger the main run so if anything it might delay it slightly but not really affect it once it happens. What would most affect it is if we have a really warm weekor two and then cold again for another week. Either way the fish will be in but the temps really mess with the hatch. I remember i was fishing last year well into april and had ice balls forming on my guides and line. I still managed to get some fish and it warmed up the next few days and everything was normal.
The fish are probably like us, they get used to the stupid Ohio weather
