Wrong forum?

Yamahas and Hondas now have the best general reputation for motor reliability. Of course, everyone has a favorite brand and I don't know the specifics for a 115 horse so it obviously depends. I have seen the 3 Yamaha motors I have played with (6hp, 20hp, and 150hp) run perfectly in very demanding conditions and they are all 10-15 years old now (continuing to run perfectly). I would buy a yamaha or a honda over everything else, and every outfitter i have seen in cold rocky Ontario runs them too.

Yamaha supplies the motors for almost all Mercury 4-strokes from 40hp and up except the Verado. If it is a 2-stroke motor - then I'm not sure. Yammy's are great motors!
