Hoover Crappie Info

Discussion in 'Central Ohio Fishing Reports' started by ajangsta04, Oct 6, 2008.

  1. I never really fished for crappie at Hoover and was wondering where abouts I should start. I have a friend coming in from out of town and he wanted to get some good crappie action going.

Any tips or places to start?
Also is there a way to rent a canoe out there?

    Much appreciation in advance.

    Fish on!!

No boat rentals at Hoover. (Although I have seen a private individual on craigslist who rents his pontoon.)

If your shore-bound I would suggest the points near bridges where the rip-rap is. Also there are a lot of exposed points right now in the middle and southern sections that will allow you to get near deep water. (Which is where the crappie will be.)

Slip bobber setups with minnows, tube jigs and crappie nibbles are what I would use...good luck!
