Fished at Hoover last night from 9pm-3am, with CatCarnage and had the night of the year, started with catchin a cooler full of nice 5-7" shad in about 10 casts of the net. Then we headed to our spot. The bite was Awesome... We ended up netting 37 channels for a total of 186lbs of fish (we weigh, release and catalog all our fish because of a season long bet between us). Again a fresh dead shad with a slice in the gut was all it took, it was one of those nights where if your pole was in the water for 5 mins and it didnt have a bite, one already stole your shad. Ive had nights like that with 1-2lbers before, but we caught 17 fish between 7-10lbs! The best part was that we didnt move the boat all night. If ya wanna catch channels, Hoover IS HOT!!
