Had back surgery and getting very bored. My wife has the week off and wants to do some things together. I think I can handle about a hour drive at most. Thinking of going there. Is it worth the trip to see it? I'm not really into gambling just want to get out of the house with her and do something. Any other ideas on things to visit in Columbus. Most time would be walking since that is what they want me to be doing.Cabelas is on the list since I have some points to use.

I've been there several times. It's a nice place to go if you want to have a little fun. You don't have to be a big gambler to go there. There are penny machines, up to 20.00 dollar machines you can play. As for walking around, you can do that and watch what others do. I do that at times. It's not like vegas but go and enjoy yourself. take a little cash and try your luck. Sign up for a card ( both you and your wife) and you'll both get $10.00 in free play to try your luck. Hey, it's free why not go for it. Any staff member will show you where to get a card. It take about 2-3 minutes to get the card. Just take your DL that's all you need.

Ha ha, no spanking at the casino is the plan.My wife mentioned going to a game. I'm not sure I can sit that long. I would hate to have to keep getting up and making people upset as I keep going out of the seats. Do you get to pick where you sit? If we could get an aisle seat that would be an option. We do like that area of the city.
Thanks for the card tip Dale.

The park is very open with lots of space and plenty of areas for walking. There are seats, but there is also open patio areas with picnic tables. There is always people walking around. It makes for an enjoyable evening.

COSI or musems are nice if you are into that sort of thing. There is a flea market on south high on Saturadays, (I think they still do that). There are fairs and festivals all over cent OH around this time of year.

Heres a cool story. Last week one of the guys I work with was the winner of a million dollars at Horseshoe in Cincinnati. Kevin Lewis. I,m sure you all saw how it happened. Two people with the same name. Both got paid a million. Casino screwup. The Kevin Lewis I work with was actually the real winner! He,s a great guy and I am glad he won!Just a random players club drawing. BADDA BING! Early retirement for Kev!!!!!

Go to the Audubon wildlife area. Plenty of room to stroll about and bring your fishing rod.

Check out the Columbus Zoo... The only reason it gets bigger every year (besides Jack Hanna"s promoting) is because it is awesome!!! Next summer, if you have kids or grand-kids, take them to the water-park right beside the zoo..... You might have a better time than they do.

Hey Bob! All great ideas so far. I did some work at most of the places mentioned... Huntington Park, Zoo, Grange Insurance Audobon Center and both casinos. All cool places to visit. I'm not a gambler but I've been to Vegas and the Hollywood Casino rivals most there for atmosphere. Gonna be a little hot this week for zoo walking and maybe baseball. Grange Center has walking trails and and awesome cork display wall inside (lol).

Keep getting better for fall fishin. Nick says listen to your PT and you will be good!
