Hocking flow rate?????

Discussion in 'Southeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by rweis, Aug 29, 2007.

  1. Does anyone know what kind of flow rates are good for fishing on the Hocking River? Is there a minimum below which you wouldn't bother?

  2. I wouldn't worry so much as it being slow as it being fast. Deffinately better if there is some current to it, but you can still catch them.

I guess it just depends on what you are fishing for.. I have my best luck for Smallies when the River is real LOW , the Smallies seem to head to the deeper holes with lots of structure.. Cats on the other hand Ive had better luck with a little current , then find the Current break and fish there.

  4. Thanks guys, much appreciated.
