It's crappie season but feels like late Black Powder season. Be sure to take your wool hat, gloves, hand warmer, insulated thermal, WIND PROOF jacket and plenty hot drinks. I was out early this morning (4/3/08) at first light and found these 16 fellas holding 5-ft off the bottom in 22 feet & 44 deg muddy water.

Notice the color. When these were caught the were ghost white and like blocks of ice.

  3. Seems to me I read someplace they are no good like that.:( Maybe I better come and get them from you!!! Dont want you gettin sick.

Nice job catchin...its nice to get rid of the cobwebs this time of yr.

    Good luck...be safe out there.
  4. Took the boat out yesterday around 2pm and the temp was 50 degrees with a good east wind. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed I was burnt on the tops of my hands and had raccoon eyes.
