Handicapped Accessible

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by reel, Feb 20, 2005.

  1. I promised my lifelong friend I would take her fishing on Lake Erie this summer. That all she talks about, and how much fun it is going to be reliving her childhood with her father.

Problem is, she now is quite overweight. It takes her 2 minutes just to get in or out of a parked vehicle.

I trailer, so I picture her accidentally busting her head open trying to negotiate either in or out of the boat at the launch dock.

Am trying to devise and build some sort or ramp or stair.

Maybe we should just try pier fishing instead. Ouch.

    Anybody solve this issue ?

  2. For safety sake, if it is unsafe to even get them on a boat, then fishing on a boat is out of the question. If they fall into the lake somehow, how will you get them out, provided they have a vest? Hypothermia alone will harm them.

  3. Take her on a party boat for perch... Easy walk on ramps...
