guide series rods

  1. Anyone have guide series rods? I purchased a med/lt rod yesterday along w/ a shimano symetre 2500FI. Never used it, but it looks/feels pretty sweet.

They only sell these at Gander Mt., right?
  2. Not a bad rod for the money. Their action seems a bit on the light side but that is in comparison with St. Croix which tend to be heavy. I'm sure you will enjoy that combo and get good service out of it. :)

  3. i have one on my spinning set up and love it
  4. I LOVED mine until a big fish took it :(
  5. They are a little on the light side, but I really like them too. The cheaper ones are alright, but the really nice ones are the IM-7s and IM-8s. I have IM-7's on a couple of my setups and they are great for the price.
  6. Oh, and yes, you're correct that Gander Mtn is the only place that sells them. Guide Series is Gander Mtn's own brand.
