I was fortunate enough to be able to spend the last few days fishing the big lake. I fished monday evening, tuesday evening, wednesday morning and thursday morning. I made the long run from Mazuric boat ramp out to Middle harbor shoal. Caught a grand total of 16 walleyes ranging in length for 17" to 27". 14 of the 16 walleyes came out of 4 to 6' of water on top of the reef. They were laying right in the middle of the weed beds that are growing all around that reef. The other 2 I caught while trolling right in front of the channels the exit west harbor in 14' of water. I cast rapala husky jerks on top of that reef working them eratically with a pause and jerk motion. The 2 I caught trolling were on a shad rap and hot n tot. Purples with pink/red bellies were the best colors I found. Lots of fun!
