I took a little road trip with the wife today by the Harpersfield Covered Bridge. I seen some people fishing below the bridge and they were catching them. Curious if the fishing is always good near the bridge. I seen a decent walleye in a bucket too.

I’ve fished years ago and in the fall you can get steelhead at dam, and all throughout the river downstream to the lake. Some smallies same thing. Plus one fall I Hooked a muskie down a few bends from the bridge, for a few seconds. Can be good at times depending on water flow.

Fished there one time many years ago when i was learning about the magical steelhead. Was so packed, i never went back. There's an area on the upper grand called hogback ridge park,id rather fish there for all the same species. Not an easy walk but beautiful scenery

I was down there the other day and watched several people fishing. The river was down quite a bit and slow current. One guy in waders walked across the river and the water never went above his knees. I never fished there in the summer but caught many steelhead in fall and spring.

I personally like to fish above harpersfield. I should make a trip up there soon in the kayak.
