I've never done the spring thing at Gordon...does one even exist or is the walleye spawn bite limited to the western basin's Mawmee & Vermillion rivers?

Pier bite in the spring is similar to what occurred in the fall. I start casting stickbaits in March and will normally catch 'eyes through May most years. I seem to have a harder time deciding what to fish for in the spring -- steelies, smallies, shore 'eyes. No need to hit the western rivers with snaggers and crowds when the pier bite is on.
