GMR on 8-10-08

  1. Hit the river the river this morning. Fished the troy/tipp area. Caught 20 crapppie most were 5"-9" only kept 4 that were 12". 1 keeper rockbass that was 11". Two smallies that were thrown back, they were in the 1.5-2.0 range. Also caught a large amount of bluegill, which i kept only 12( the largest). Cats were hitting as well. They ranged from 6" to 2-4lbers.

    Everything was hitting minnows, on the bottom and under a slip bobber 2-6ft. Bluegill were on wax worms. Water was stained and warm. Level was around what I would say is normal. Wind was a factor it seemed, when the breeze quit the fish would hit. Enjoy.

    Saw plenty of guys in boat tossing various lures, all but one reported no catches.
