GMR Conditions?

Discussion in 'Southwest Ohio Fishing Reports' started by skeeziks, Sep 10, 2004.

  1. Can anyone give me an update on the condition of the GMR? I'm headin' out for an all-nighter and was wondering if the rain we recieved has effected the river. I know the Ohio is on the rise. Thanks!

Here is a great website for keeping an eye on the lvl of the GMR. This link is for the Dayton area but to the left you can use the drop down menu to go south.

I use the dayton area because thats the one I started looking at so i know exactly where it is and how it looks by it. At the Dayton area, Normal is between 25.5 ft and 25.7 or so. Anything above 26 there and it gets to be pretty unfishable. Way to much flow even if ya can get down to the water. But of course if ya know a spot without all the current that still produces fish than it may work well for you. But all my fish come out of a decent current close to some kind of structure and a hole.

    Anyway link is.....
