Got home from work Sunday morning and me and my daughter threw our bikes and poles in the truck and headed to the GMR. Not much hitting, she managed a couple small channels drifting a crawler, and I landed a 20" carp bouncing a crawler on the bottom. But what a beautiful morning! Lower temps, sunny skies, lots of geese around, saw a couple Blue Herons and had a good couple of hours on the river. Oh, and here's a shout out to the common carp. I always forget how hard the things fight until I hook one. This one pulled like a Mack truck! Turned a slow day into a memorable one.
