Took my boat out ystrday and the motor started up on the first pull like usual. I put it in reverse to get headed the right way and the motor died and would not start again. I have a 2000 9.9hp yamaha 4 stroke. When i removed the motor cover and began squeezing the gas line bulb i noticed gas leaking out of the side of the motor everytime i squeezed the bulb. :( Anyone know what would cause this and if it is hard to fix?

It sounds to me like you flooded it.
Is the vent working properly on the tank?
All that gas sloshing around makes a lot of pressure, and when you connect the line, the carb gets a large shot of fuel.
I never attach the fuel hose,or prime the bulb until the motor is tillted down and in the water.
