Fun Fishing for Kids

Discussion in 'Northeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by Big Daddy, May 10, 2004.

  1. On Mothers Day, I took my two sons to Armington Pond in the CVNP. It's off Quick Rd., right acrossed the street from the Humane Society. Anyway, beautiful area, lots of colorful birds(orioles, warblers, goldfinches, etc.) and, best of all, GOOD FISHING. It's a small pond with good access. It's full of 5-6 inch gills too. They're up shallow near beds. Real easy to catch and there's so many of them, the kids will stay busy. My two boys, ages 6 and 3, ended up with 25 or so a piece. All were released. They just had fun.
I posted pix in my gallery too, if you want to take a look.

It's a great pond for the little guys to wet a line.
