I Have A 2000 150 Hp Johnson Can Anyone Help In Replacing Fuel Pump?
is that a "vro" model (oil injection)?
You should be able to rebuild the pump for a lot less than replacing. You can get a rebuild kit and a manual for a fraction of the cost of a new pump. The manual usually does a good job of explaining all the steps. It should be fairly simple, though a fuel pump is something I've yet to so on mine.
i rebuilt mine 1st thing this spring. it was on a 150 merc. piece of cake!!! get a seloc manual, a rebuild kit and spend less than an hour doing it. i was having some starting issues. i had to crank and crank and crank. i replaced the pump, all the fuel lines, thermostats in one afternoon. starts in about 5 seconds now after sitting for a week. do a search(rebuild of merc 150 fuel pump). i know i did a post. i know its not a johnson, but there cant be too much of a difference.
