Well the lake has frozen over. My friend and I arrived there around noon to test our luck at those crappie. Spent the first 2 hours driving around for open spots, only to find that there wasn't any due to the ice. We went to our honey hole to see that frozen over. Here's where the fun begins. We started throwing rocks to see how thick the ice was and see if it was somewhat safe to walk on. got out about 3-4 feet from the shore and started to hear the CRACK on the ice. Ran back towards the shore to find another way. Long story short, we cleared a lot of ice with a fallen tree only to look at the ice reform. Said to ourselves screw it and went to the luthman bridge to go for some saugeye. Ended up with 2 to take home.
