I read a few times about people using Frozen Minnows for perching so I thought I would try it. When I originally got the live minnows I patted them with a newspaper to get them somewhat dry. I put them in a big plastic bag and put some salt on them and mixed it up real good then put them in the freezer.

The Problem: When I went to use them yesterday they became extremely soggy and easy for the fish to rip off. Did I do something wrong? (ie: didn't let them completely dry out, not enough salt, etc....).

Thanks for the input in advance. I really do enjoy this site and appreciate everyone's expertise and opinions.....

same thing happen to me. The next time I did them I eally salted them down and let them sit out for like 6 hours to dry. I have not used them yet so I don't know it this time will work or not..

Thanks gw2kpro. I think my wife just got used to having worms in the refrigerator. Should be interesting when she sees the minnows, lol...... I'll experiment with both methods.
