Franklin-Miamisburg Angling Club

Discussion in 'Southwest Ohio Fishing Reports' started by TheKing, Jun 6, 2004.

  1. My cousin hosted a trip with me to his favorite honey hole, the Miamisburg Angling Club. It is a private angling club with a set of 3 quarry lakes tied to together with small connector streams.
Only electric trolling allowed, but ramp accomodates any size bass boat. The place is full of fish. We caught a few largemouth, and saw hundreds of largemouth of all sizes. A catfish pulled my pole right out of my hands and into the drink. Through that clear water, we could see the pole down below. My buddies finally snagged it for me and sure enough, fish still on. Crystal clear lakes, absolute quiet and solitude. A very nicely equipped club.
I didn't ask about membership - it is probably too expensive for me.
Here's a picture of my cousin and the heaviest fish he caught today. He told me it was a rock bass.[IMG]

  2. Man, you are one lucky dog if you got to fish those.

Growing up, we would fish those quaries when Martz still owned the land. I would love to be a member of waterscapes, but the $1600 fee is just too much for me.
