fly lines for steelhead fishing?

Discussion in 'Fish on the Fly' started by WINative, Feb 24, 2005.

  1. What sort of fly lines do you typically use for steelheading in the NE OH tribs, e.g. floating, sink tip, fast sinking, etc.? I generally fish the Grand and sometimes the Rocky. I figure on the shallower portions of both rivers one could probably get away with a floating line, but might need some kind of sinking line for the deeper holes. Any advice would be helpful.

    Thanks,
