Hello all, I'm going to a resort in the Tampa area for work for a week in the middle of April and may have the chance to fish the resort lakes while I'm there. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for freshwater fishing there in the spring (is it considered "spring style" fishing in April in Florida?). I assume that it will be mainly bass fishing but as it is a private resort who know's (i've never been there). We are sending a shipment of IT gear down in advance so I plan on packing out a med weight spin outfit and put together a small kit with topwater plugs (rapala's, popping plugs, etc.) and probably some twister type plastics for jigging. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I was thinking of bringing some fly gear but I dont want to take anything I have to worry about loosing in case I never see it again. I haven't bass fished in many years but i was guessing that it would be like bassing the ponds and reservoirs around Ohio in the spring.
thanks in advance for any suggestions~
