Just curious if anyone has ever spent any time on Fletcher on the ice. I know it's a great summer fishery but looking for a short getaway spot in early Feb. and Jacks Landing has pretty cheap lodging prices and shanty rentals, plus a reastaurant/bar on site.....PERFECT. Well perfect, that is, if there is any quality fishing. Heated shacks are great when there is fish underneath them, otherwise they are just a chilly prison with cold beer. :(
I know this lake holds some very nice bluegils and perch (and a crapload of pike and bass) but do they do well in winter. If you know please let me know, too. If I call Jacks they'll just tell me everythings great, you know how it works. ;) Thanks.
