Fixing my catapult

Discussion in 'Carp Discussions' started by cwcarper, Oct 6, 2004.

  1. I've been using the Fox Powergrip method catapult for a couple of years now, and for the past year or so i've been having a problem with attaching a new elastic to the pouch (or just re-attaching the old elastic after snipping off the worn out ends). So far, everything i've tried to secure the pouch to the elastic has failed...after a few uses it will suddenly pull off the pouch and end up smacking me. Is there a trick to getting the elastic to fit snuggly and securely to the pouch?? I know my problem is that i'm not sliding it (the elastic) far enough up on to the supports...

have you tried wetting the insides of the elastic to create less
    friction?

  5. when we were kids and used to shoot sling shots and the tube would come off we would put it back on with spray paint...just spray the metal (or plastic) part and the paint lets it slide on real easy and when it dries it bonds it to the metal
