First Timer ? (sorry)

  1. I've been fishing West Branch, Hodgeson, Mosquito, Milton, and Berlin for 28 years now. I think I'm ready for some steelhead. So last Thursday I made the 1 hour and 15 min. drive to the Chagrin River just to scout it out. I drove out to the Wall and was asked for $4.00 to fish there. I don't have a problem with that at all but my question is....Should I expect to pay at the fishing spots marked on the ODNR steelhead maps? Its a far drive for me so I would need to plan a trip around my cash situation. Thanks for you time....

  2. No, you don't have to pay at all of the marked spots. That's the only place you will have to pay. That wall belongs to the CEI plant and they charge you to fish unless you're an Eastlake resident. Once November or so comes, they'll be gone and you can fish there for free. THere are plenty of other spots on the Chagrin that are better than there anyways. That place is usually only worth the time when the lake and river freezes.

  3. Thanks for the info. I hope to learn alot this year.
