  1. I went to a local park pond today and caught two on the fly rod. Their size was nothing to brag about but it was great to get out and have a small battle. The water temp was 42 and there were qiute a few feeding in the shallow water.

  2. Thats one of my goals this season is to hook a carp on my flyrod. I hear its not easy so good catch ''tornwaders'' ! What patterns of flies do use for carp?

  3. this time of the year use small patterns, usualy buggy nymphs, small craws ect. go a little bigger into the summer but i dont do well on big flies for carp 6+ i like small 8-10 nondescript flies with marabou or bunny, but many people do well on craw and hex(mayfly nymph) patterns. sometimes they also take small streamers. by the way torn that sounds like a blast, i plan on fishing hard for these guys on the long rod this spring and it looks like it will be a good year for them.
