First Ice Cat

    Well for the first time this year I went out and tried to catch some catfish. Me and Skip Martin headed out to a local farm pond. Not much luck on the fishing, but I did manage to catch my first ice cat. 4# 15 oz. I was surprized by the fight this fella still had in him. Oh yeah, 2# test Vicious line and a wax worm.

    The pond isnt even all the way frozen. :eek:

    actually 4-5" of ice. The edges were free in some spot. Recent rains had messed up the top of the ice.
     
  5. Nice fish!!! had to been a hell of a fight.....
     
  6. Me and my brother were out yesterday night on north res. and he had a big cat on but he couldnt get it through the hole and it broke off. He had a pinmin and minnow on.
