Findley State Park or Hinckley?

Discussion in 'Northeast Ohio Fishing Reports' started by msdb32, Jul 24, 2007.

  1. Thinking about taking my father-in-law fishing this weekend. He lives in the Medina area so I was going to decide on one of these lakes. I fish mostly eastern Ohio so I was wondering if there have been any reports or which lake would be your first choice.

Have not been to either all year, but I believe hinckley will be your best bet.
You can find plenty of crappie, gills, bass, and its one of the best cat lakes I have fished.

I think Findley St. Park is an awful place to fish!
  4. Watch the weather...if it rains like it is suppose to Hinckley is a mud hole. I used to work there for years and when it rains it turns into a muddy mess and the fishing stinks until it settles. There are lots of cats in the lake, but the crappie and bass are nothing to spectacular. Good luck.
  5. I think you should just sit by the pool and drink beer. Don't forget your sunglasses lol.
  6. That might be a good idea.
