What are some of your favorite movies? You're all time favorite or maybe something you have seen recently that you can't get enough of. Comedy, Drama, Thriller, lets hear about your favorite movies and why you love them.

Good one. I truly believed Ford as Ryan. Loved the book, but Sum of all fears should have stayed between the covers.

  11. My wife and I are movie junkies. Favorite? I could not even begin to narrow it down to just one movie, or even 100. These DVD's are currently on top of our TV (been watched in the last two weeks), and are a pretty good sampling of our taste:

    Reservoir Dogs
    Kill Bill
    Barfly
    Boogie Nights
    Old School
    GoodFellas
    The Royal Tenenbaums
    Spun
    Fight Club
    Rushmore
    Requiem For a Dream
    Pink Flamingos

    1. Seabiscuit (watch it everytime it's on HBO right now, have the DVD too...watched it over 25 times in the past year, and I'm still not tired of it. I can also lip sync the entire movie. lol)
    2. The Legend of Bagger Vance (It's right up there with Seabiscuit)
    3. Lord of the Rings Trilogy (good for times when you are snowed in)
    4. Love Actually (unexplainable...it just captures my mind and heart)
    5. Any movie directed by Robert Redford or Ron Howard are usually winners too.....Seasbiscuit was a Robert Redford film ;-)

Although I'm a movie freak....these four are the four that stick out in my mind. I know I have hundreds of favorites, but I can't list them all here, so I'll stick with my top four.

Rooster- Fight Club was one I forgot about. Talk about a surprise ending. Never saw it coming the first time around. We love a wide variety of movies. Marcia laughs at me for my odd tastes. I don't know why but I love the movie "Pootie Tang". I also loved the first "Matrix". Reel Lady already mentioned "Napoleon Dynamite". If you haven't seen I highly recommend it.

    ncraft150 started in about Smokey and the Bandit, so here is another one;
"There is no way, NO WAY  you came from my LOINS!" :D

1.) Dances With Wolves (my dog's name is Cisco after his horse in the movie)
2.) Saving Private Ryan (most intense start of a movie I have ever seen!)
3.) The Usual Suspects (Kevin Spacey deserved the Oscar)
4.) Last of the Mohicans (all around GREAT movie)

    Now for the Comedies... :D
1.) Austin Powers the Spy Who Shagged Me
2.) See No Evil, Hear No Evil with Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder
3.) A tie between Blazing Saddles and Spaceballs!
