Alright so I'm going to a small Englewood lake today and I'm trying to get ssome dinner... does anyone know what they are biting on? right now i have a surface wake bait with 2 treble hooks or should i try fishing on the bottom with crawfish or other small plastic?

Use live minnows under a slip float so you can vary the depth of your presentation. This is a good way to find the depth that they are hitting at.
Also try a small spinnerbait like the Johnson beetle spin. I usually can bust a few crappies with a white twister tail grub on there. Cast it out, let it fall, then a slow steady retrieve back to you.
