I am looking into starting a project with a 2 to 3 year outlook for finishing. Not going to rush it.

I am kicking around the idea of buying an aluminum boat and turning it into my perfect electric only water fishing barge.

Does anyone have any recommendation in style of boat? I'm leaning to a 14 foot jon, maybe modified v hull. But I'm open to any suggestions as my expirenece is mostly with kayaks. Thanks.

The amount I'm looking to spend is open, I am going to building a deck and storage in whatever I end up getting.

Only requirement for me is a stable platform to stand and cast and walk around. And maybe take a buddy or my wife out from time to time.

Thanks for the help.

I have owned a 12 and have ridden in numerous smaller and larger johns you mite want to look into something a little larger for the wife and family.
There are a lot of options out there and you don't to be disappointed and wanting to upgrade after a season or two.
I'm not saying buy the SeaArk just threw that out for something to look at.Like I said lots of options to look through this fall and winter.
