Neighbor and I tried edgewater yesterday in the howling wind. We were reluctant at first after seeing all the scary looking pressure cracks every few feet but seeing others there we went and the ice held good. There were 4 other shelters fishing the east side of the marina and a lonely bucket guy at the end of the steel wall. The ice there is 8 inches at least! Didn't get any this time, water is still stained with maybe 5 ft visibility on the camera. I think it needs to clear a little before the steelhead come in in any numbers. Tons of shad again and more smelt than I've ever seen there before. I bet a guy could catch a lot of smelt at night right now.
