Fished today from 1-5 pm thinking they would be more active with the temperature peak in the afternoon. Tried jigs deep for crappie or perch but no luck. Then switched to a finesse drop shot setup for bass with a 4” Berkeley gulp, several bites but nothing in the boat. Saw a nice bass follow my bait but turn away. Super clear water, visible about 10-12 feet down. Temperature was around 54 degrees in most areas. A fair number of boats were out, mostly bass boats, a couple trollers, a few anchored. The few I talked to at the ramp said they didn’t have much luck. It was my first time at the lake, not a lot of structure obviously, hard to say if it was the conditions or me. Would like to try again in the summer. Curious if anyone has advice for Eastwood?
