Eastwood Hydroplanes

Discussion in 'Boats and Motors' started by drill-n-fill, Apr 24, 2004.

  1. Was thinking about taking the boat to Eastwood today and passed a trailed hydroplane on I-75. This got me wondering if they were running at Eastwood today. I dropped the girl's off at ballet and went to the lake which is 5 min. away. Sure enough they were running the lake. According to the Marine Patrol, they are also running tomorrow (Sun.). I doubt it, though, due to the rain forecast. It was free to watch, and they were flying down that lake. They were running 2 at a time in an oval fashion. They were barely in the water and appeared to be running at what looked like 100 plus mph.
I have seen the Unlimited Hydros in Madison before, but these were fun too.
I must admit it would have been more fun to watch from my own boat!

  3. Sweet boat raider! Would like to see a picture of the hull and stern.
Do you race or belong to a racing club/circut?
