Fished Sunday. water temps in low 70s. only caught 3 keeper crappie. bite was pretty slow. used jigs and minnows with jigs catching all keeper fish. not many short fish caught either. water was about 2 feet lower than it was 2 weeks ago. Bluegills were hanging out in big schools right at surface of water. interesting to watch. some bass were hitting small shad schools.

Last week, we drifted flats starting in 19 ft of water down to 4 using cut shad. Caught a nice cooler full of quality channel cats. None of the youngsters with the yellowish tint and spots. Used minimum weight amounts just enough to keep her near the bottom.........

got out on Sunday afternoon, fished from 4pm till dark and caught 16 keepers. All were over 10". Also got spot checked by the ODNR, but since I follow the rules, there was no problem.

We were over in the creek mouth by Reisinger ramp. 28 FOW fishing 12-15 FD, in the timber. you had to be against the wood or down the middle of the branches, nothing on the outer edges. Used live minnows the whole time.
