East fork hybrids

Discussion in 'Stripers & Hybrids' started by redhawk fisherman, Jun 2, 2007.

  1. I am thinking of heading out to East Fork tomorrow evening to try for some hybrids. Has anyone been out there and if so any success?

    Thanks!

I went a few weeks back and got skunked, but the shad were pretty thick. The water in the creek was 78. My guess would be they're heading into their summer holds.

Anything happening with the EF hybrids about now? I'm thinking about camping there a couple of days during the week before Halloween...if I can get a spot.

I found through the past that November is the best month for hybrids at East Fork. Once the lake is down to winter pool, large white jigs with red eyes and a white trailer works pretty darn good. Also, pink headed jigs work good. Down around the camping area before final drawdown is very good. Around the island @drawdown has seen some darn good days for hybrids. Good luck !!! THE CATKING !!!
