Got off work early tonight and headed out to EF with some friends to do a little crappie fishing
caught around 50 but only 11 keepers and 12 coming as doubles
and caught a 15# carp on a minnow(pic's to follow)
most the of fish came in 20+ feet of water around the 10' mark
and the water is around 7 feet above summer pool

nothing on the cats yet except dinks
we did find a few shad but no takers
water was at 63.5-64.5 so it wont be long

Hope the cats pick up soon at EF. Went crappie fishing last Wednesday and caught a bunch of nice ones. Two times out since, nothing but small ones. Big females must be done spawning and spread out. High water doesn't help much either. Plan on going out tonight to try the cats. Couple nice warm days, maybe it's got 'em moving. Watch out for the pleasure boaters if ya head out this weekend. I'm sure everywhere will be packed with 'em. Might be time to stay off the water during the day.
