DCCA first tourney of the year this Saturday....

    Howdy everyone. Just wanted to let all the die hard catfish and crappie guys and gals know that the Deer Creek Catfish Association is holding a tourney Saturday at Rocky Fork Lake.

    Come join us for the Catfish/Crappie season opener at Rocky Fork Lake March 22 9am-4pm. Here is the payout.... BigCat, BigCrappie, Most weight 6 catfish, Most weight 12 crappie. Entry will be $15.00 per person. Our open rules apply. Tourney will be held out of the North Shore Boat Ramp.

    My hats off to the 33 die-hard catfish and crappie anglers that came out and fished with us at Rocky Fork Lake. What a great early season tourney! Air temps. were 41 at launch, 33 at weigh-in. The water temps. were in the mid-40's. Wind, rain, and snow made some tough weather conditions. Total catfish weighed was 44 for a total weight of 254.8 lbs. Total crappies weighed was 9 for a total weight of 3 lbs. The cats were on and the crappie were tough to come by in the muddy conditions.

    1st place/Catfish - Randy Holschuh, Charles Hill, and Clark Hill 58.2 lbs.

    BIGCAT - Tom Johnson 14.2 lbs. channel

    1st place/Crappie - Eric Bramer and Jack Creed 1.4 lbs.

    BIGCRAPPIE - Eric Bramer 9 oz.

    Top Five(These teams qualify for the DCCA Open Championship and The NEOCATS Ohio Catfish Championship)-
