I just picked up a new 190 gallon aquarium. It's a beautiful tank but it has a filter system I am not familiar with. It is built into the rear left wall of the tank and I found it to be a DAS tank and filter system. Has anyone on here heard of them and can school me on it? It appears to be a H99 filter. Does anyone know of a local place that may sell these tanks with this filter so I can get some parts. It seems to be missing a charcoal insert. Thanx for any help......I'm dying to get this up and running and stuck till I get help on the filtering.

Give Pet Supplies "Plus" a call. I have had tremendous help from the store near me. They have knowledgeable people when it comes to aquariums, fish, and supplies. Good Luck.

  3. There is a saltwater specialists place in Strongsville on Columbia Rd. Dont remeber their name, but they are very respectable and knowledgable and an easy google search away. They are experts with big tank set ups and should know alot about your filter. Aquarium Adventure is one of the better stores too and then I would say RMS although I havent been to one of those in years. They all sell large custom systems with integrated wet drys. I would stay away from the chains, they really dont know much about complex systems especially something like your integrated wet dry. A good place to get cheap filter media is petsolutions.com its an Ohio wholesale catalouge company. Their prices have always beat every store.

I talked with Stan at Wet Pets in Canton. We put our heads together and have decided to remake the system with American parts. I think this will be best in the long run. I sent an email to DAS in the Neatherlands and am awaiting their reply, but I expect it to be a costly one. The system seems to have 2 pumps and one is missing while the other is burnt up. Just happens to be DAS pumps. All the fittings are metric also! Beautifl tank but not gonna be the easy set up I thought it was gonna be. Thanx for your help!
