What is the best way to fish a dam? Im thinking of heading over to Ballville but have never fished that close to a dam before. Looking for some pointers. Thanks

watch your current. if u bobber fish you'll keep moving it. spinner and crank is good, if you tight line make sure your bait is secure. and most of all, have some fun.

the best place to fich that is on the west side all around in there. lots of big catfish in there. use a 1/4 or 1/2 ounce sinker and tightline with shrimp or worms.

If I'm not mistaking Ballville dam is on the Sandusky river in Fremont. I think the state wants to remove it one of these days.
