Saw this at twin bridges at hoover this morning. A bunch of vultures on this truck, they were fighting for position and pecking on te back window. Not sure what was up. I just thought it was odd. Hope this isn't anyone on here's truck! Haha
WOW! I'd like to know the rest of the story.

One guy at Seneca had several thousand dollars of damage to his truck. They ate the tonneau cover and every piece of trim. They destroyed several bimini tops on pontoon boats too.
It was more than one guy. One every day for awhile.

They are federally protected since they’re birds of prey. But since they are also an invasive species they will give permits to cull them. I suspect they would make it open season for them except its easy to confuse young turkey vultures with black Mexican vultures. Not sure the process for getting a permit. I SSS every one I see.

so set up a bit if aversion harassment for the vultures- park the truck so you have visibility to it. Prep the bed with inch and a half firecrackers with nichrome wire-wrapped wicks to cable to a twelve volt battery and remote switch. When the birds perch on the truck, set off one blast. I bet after only a few they get to recognizing yours and automatically bypass to somebody else's truck. Video for a utube experience.
