Im thinkin about coyote hunting and am just wondering about a few things...

First would it be possible to lure in a coyote using raw meat or anything like that? I dont have any calls or cassette tapes..

Second What would I do with one after the hunt? Are they worth anything anymore?

Any advice would be appreciated!

The baiting option is a waiting game & would take days. Now, if you could see a road killed deer carcass or something from your house , that might be worth your time.
As for value , a really nice 'yote might bring $10 or $15 .......... skinned ,stretched ,& dried. More ikely $5-$10 ; not really worth the work, but you'd being doing the other critters a favor. Tan a nice one & hang it on your wall.

Also if'n its got a hole in it is worth LESS.

You can get lucky by dumping some carcass out in a field but don't count on it.

Save up $10 and get one mouth call. I would suggest either a Johnny Stewart PC3 or a Circe. Both work well, I prefer the PC3. More variation available with just one call. Borrow a coyote hunting video and try to mimic the calls. Practice at home til you think you have it and then hit the woods.
