I've been in Ohio now for 20 years, having come from the deep south, where you can fish all the time. In my own experience, the answer to that question is "maybe", but "maybe not". That don't help much, but you have to just try. I caught the biggest bass of my life (nearly 6 lbs) here in February--and some of the most productive fishing I've ever had happened to me in March of last year, and it was COLD. There have been so many days I looked out and said "no way I will get a single bite today", but I went anyway and SLAYED them. And days all the elements looked perfect, and I got skunked. Just try. A friend of mine from church went yesterday to CJ Brown, and he said he had a pretty good day. You never know..."a day spent catching nothing is better than a day doing almost anything else..."
