Took a little tour of west side spots to see if anything was fishable. First stop - lakefront. Water is muddy with lots of debris. Doesn't look like it will fish well for after dark walleye. Next stop - rocky river. East branch, west branch, and main stem are all very high/muddy and rising. Doesn't look like the rocky will be fishable until the weekend, if not later. Finally - tried wallace lake in Berea. Ice is starting to recede, providing some open water fishing for trout. Picked up a limit (3) in about an hour, even though the water was a bit murky. Ice seems to be melting rather quickly, which will provide more room to cast for the stocked trout throughout the week. One was decent size (over a foot), and the other two were rather small. Looks like the metroparks didn't throw in many big ones this time. Hopefully, larger fish are stocked the end of this month.
