I was just wondering if the lake was starting to turn over yet. Might head down on sunday and get some bass and try to hook a few saugeyes.

Flipp, I don't think turnover is something that will apply to our lakes this year. The flooding mixed everything together for so long, both relating to temps and to oxygen levels, that thermoclines were nonexistent by early September. Fish were being caught in 40 feet of water at Piedmont during the worst of the flooding. With most of the water levels back, or nearly back, to normal, it's far too late in the year for the temps necessary for restratification.

Went down today and manage to get 5 keepers had 6 bites all day. The fish I got came on a strike king diamond shad rattle trap. Maybe next weekend it won't be so windy.
