When you are done painting your lures what do you use for clear coat. I use the CSI vinyl but would like to find some laquer paints that dry a lot faster. Any ideas?

What type of lures are you painting? Jigs, spinnerbaits, plugs? I use powder paint on my jigs and spinnerbaits. It requires no clearcoat. On my plugs I either use Devcon or Envirotec. ;)

I make spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and John L's. Actually, John molds the John L's for me and I build them. I also use powder but I have to put a clear on them to cover the eyes. I was looking for some type of fast dry laquer but can't seem to find it anywhere.

  4. Try auto lacquer/clear coat. I've seen at Drug Mart in spray can. I think it might of been rustolum.

CK, I have two H-style spinnerbait molds. After I powder paint them I mix up some Devcon and brush it on. Devcon is tough and will outlast laquer. Good luck!;)
